Billed as the New Eastern Shore Tradition, the Decorating Delmarva Holiday Festival of Lights is a 36-night event with 2 miles worth of holiday cheer held at the Delaware International Speedway located in Delmar, Delaware.

Visitors can tour the North Pole and enjoy holiday lights and community built displays, as well as take a trip to Santa’s Village, which will include nightly festival events and an activity area for children. Events will include appearances from Mr. & Mrs. Claus, holiday music, fire pits and nightly entertainment.

The event will operate every Thursday through Sunday evening from Nov. 15 to Dec. 23, then every evening from Dec. 25 until Jan. 5. Decorating Delmarva will run from 6-10 p.m. on weeknights and Sundays, and from 6-11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

One of Delaware’s most popular annual events returns, as World Championship Punkin Chunkin – named one of the top 100 events in North America by the American bus Association – sets up for another weekend of pumpkin tossing fun in Bridgeville, Delaware from November 4-6. The competition begins Friday at 8 a.m.

The 23^rd annual Rehoboth Beach Jazz festival takes over the town once again, with performances from some of the genre’s best artists at various locations from Oct. 11-14.

The festival opens Thursday, Oct. 11, at Cape Henlopen High School with a primetime performance from Boney James.
